While sitting in Sidney BC for a few days, I ran into a dinghy manufacturer
called Aldura Boats. They are made in Nanaimo BC and are made of aluminum.
They look like an inflatable but have welded aluminum tubes. They have a
deep V hull for use in the rough waters of BC while maintaing the stability
    of an inflatable.

Has anyone had any experience with this dinghy or others like it. ie Boss
boats. The cost of a 13 foot is about $6,200 CN$ or about $4,700 US$.

    The web site is www.alduraboats.com

No affiliation but it does look interesting. I am looking to replace my 13
foot Boston Whaler. The flat bottom and wet ride of the Whaler is no fun in
the rougher waters in the pacific northwest. Also looking at new hull of
Whalers but at twice the cost and twice the weight.
