FWIW, in 1987, I bought some ACCO chain that was especially made for Simpson
Lawrence windlasses - in my case, the Sea Tiger manual winch. The chain is
labeled "SL" and is BBB (3B) High Test (HT) chain. If they still make it,
this chain is the best of both worlds as it has the handling characteristics
of BBB and the strength of HT. A similar, but not identical chain is now
prescribed by many windlass manufacturers - G40. My SL chain fits the
    Lofrans BBB gypsy perfectly.

    | The 3/8 should be more than adequate for a 35000 lb boat. The 35 Delta is
    | perhaps a little light for a storm anchor--but a good choice for a working
    | anchor--I have used 60 lb CQR (55 lb Delta) in that size boat or 40 HT
    | Danforth. The Fortress are excellent anchors--especially in the soft
    holding
    | conditions. The dimensions you give are closest to 3/8" BBB chain.
