In a previous post I made some statements about kids working in low paying
jobs and it could have been taken to be demeaning. I should clarify, ANYONE
with a job is pretty high on my list of people I like. If people didn't work
in the foodservice industry I wouldn't be able to eat a big mac for cheap.
My part of Okla. has a very high unemployment rate and most kids can only
get a minimum wage job. $10 dollars per hour is a decent wage for semi
skilled workers here, if you can find a job paying that much. Highly trained
professionals aproach the $20 per hour mark. Also, we spend more on prisons
than we do on education, Pay now or pay later....Oh yeah, boats- A trailer
boat mechanic that has been to all the outboard schools and is good can make
    $24k a year here.
