Sometime in July there was a thread about ants on boats. We've had a real
problem with those little black ants in our home for several years. Someone
on the list suggested spraying the area with, of all things, "Rubbing
Alcohol". Since, I thought, that was about the least toxic to use in a
kitchen (of all the suggestions), I sprayed the kitchen counter tops with
rubbing alcohol, and lo and behold our little black ant problem completely
disappeared. It has been a month now and we are still free of the pest. I
went back in the archives and found the thread but I cannot find the one
letter that suggested rubbing alcohol. Thanks to that person any way. Van.
