I'd be more concerned about putting that much weight up high in the boat
and probably offset to one side. Aside from the weight, the movement at
that level in rough seas could be substantial. Be sure to tie them down
securely lest you have catapulting batteries in the saloon.

adequate
ventilation or do I need a special blower and overboard discharge?

Good choice in batteries!
Since you are using the Northstar batteries then you can get away with
it.
However you insurance company might be happier if you connect the vent
tubes
on each battery to a collector which lead outside. The Northstar battery
is
one of the few with a built in vent cpllector tube for external venting.
The second aspect of battery ventilation is the removal of heat created
during charging.
With 2000 amp hours capacity you can easily drive these with 500 amps
and
more if you are careful and use temp compensation.
Most likely your charging source will not be that big, so heat buildup
is
not going to be a big problem.
You won't need a blower unless your insurance company insist on it
because
they haven't caught up with the technology.
