Thru bolting is the best bet but is out of the question if you can't get to
the holes. Are you sure you can't see them like behind a cabinet, drawers or
something in the aft cabin.
There are also things called blind fasteners that could work. I just happen
to see some in a marine supply store a few days ago but didn't pay alot of
attention to them.(I had another problem at the time.) I believe that they
work kind of like Mollies except these were made of rubber like stuff with
what looked like brass female threaded inserts. Maybe for #8 or #10 machine
screws.
