I am wondering where the Island Gypsy Trawler would fit on the members
list in terms of desirability - I have always considered them right up
there with the Grand Banks in terms of quality, but at a little more
affordable price. Am I right in my thinking? Or would members put their
quality and desirability much lower on a scale?

Here's some research Chris Caswell did a few years ago on Taiwan Trawler
builders. Bottom line from my experience having owned 2 marine Traders
is
each one is unique because there are 9 different yards that build them.
Quality varies by yard and the "families" that construct them.
