As a Voyager I would appreciate the subdivision of information. Their is a
lot of information that this list has of value for the voyager, but I a
lot of it does not apply. My options that I provide are biased toward my
expericences, and apply less to the vast majority of this list that are not
voyagers. I assume my information is of interest to those that have not
gone there, but that is an assumption. They may wish I respond there
    more then here!

The value of that list is much greater if voyagers can use it when they
are actually voyaging. There is NO BETTER TIME to ask a question about
solving a problem then when you are nowhere and something is broken.
One of the reasons I limit the list to Nordhavn owners is to keep the
volume of email small so people who are busy boating are not
overwhelmed with emails that are of marginal benefit. Also there is
less posturing over selling, buying etc. A lot of time non US Internet
cafe's share a 20kbs dialup among 2 or 3 computers, so the volume needs
    to be limited.
As the "owner" of the Nordhavn Owners list. (I host it, not Nordhavn.)
I have gotten some pretty nasty emails when I inform people the list is
only for owners. Something to think about when you create your list.
