I've used the cones for years and they work great. You can notice the
decrease in roll as soon as you put them overboard. The only draw back is that in
shallow water you may not be able to hang them all in the water without the
mushroom anchor hitting the bottom. This delays their reaction time as the slack
comes out of the string of cones and there by allows a bit more roll.
I just bought a used Magma wing the other day but have not had a chance to
try it yet. I 'd like to get a second wing so I can deploy one on each side as I
do with the strings of cones.
