Hey all,
The site that I use is a "clearing house" of the best links from all over
the web maintained by a gentleman from the National Center for Atmospheric
Research.
http://stormeyes.org/pietrycha/hur.html
I am an atmospheric scientist, so accordingly there are some rather rigorous
and "in-depth" technical webpages in this compilation, and that gives me
pause as to sending the general public to use the page. But, I presume that
boaters, as with aviators, are much more saavy and weatherwise than the
general public.
If anybody has any questions about the particulars of what is what, let me
know. Otherwise, this is about the best site that is out there for people
who don't like the "canned" feel of the Weather Channel, etc.
Enjoy.
It looks like Alex is going to leave town quickly, but there is a new Trop.
Depression out east...keep an eye.
