T&T: Single controls

I'm well past the peak of this one, but.... I have double controls on my MT34
with the 120 Fd-Leh. Virtually all of my docking is done with throttle left
alone at idle and using the shifter only, forward and back as necessary to
square the boat or kick the stern. This seems to work backing into my slip,
rafting with another boat, or coming into the fuel dock. Pretty much like a
single control, I would think. I haven't yet shifted into reverse at full
throttle, but I have run it up to almost full throttle thinking I was shifting
into forward. It has taught me humility before my spouse.
