We had an interesting day cruise last week off the coast of Maine. We took
six kayaks on aCappella and went 40 miles offshore to anchor at Matinicus
Island. From there we kayaked to Matinicus Rock, another 5 nm out to sea.
The combination of incredible wildlife (puffins, whales, seals, etc.) along
with inviting the outdoor editor of the Bangor Daily News guaranteed a nice
article in this last weekend's paper.
