There are a number of cleaning compounds and polishes used on airplane
windows. First rinse it well, the wash it very well with soap and water and a
soft cloth to remove any dirt or dust. If nesessary Mirror Glaze makes a
#10 (polish), #17 (removes scratches) and #18 (cleans hazing). Rainex makes
a vinyl protectant/repellant. 303 has been suggested for clear vinyl
    protection.

Stratoglass (a high quality vinyl) recommends only Strataglass cleaner and to
    avoid any abrasive.

I know that some folks use pledge for polishing---but I have been reluctant
    to do so.

I have not yet used the 303, since the windows on my current boats are kept
rolled up and stored most of the time--but I will probably use it eventually.
