T&T: Starter cable routeing ( was welding cable, etc.)

    Just for the record, I have always used welding cable for high load d.c.
    circuits, and Burndy terminals with blackburn antioxidant, sealed with
    underground rated shrink tubeing- bulletproof, or a close proximity thereof.
    I use 4/0 cable. If you run both positive and negative leads from your
    battery or batteries to your starter you will get vastley improved starting
    performance. On a twin engine boat that adds up to a lot of cable, but it's
    worth it.
