    Arild pointed out to me that my previous post on Locomotive and welding cables
    may have been misleading. As he points out, welding cable has a less than
    ideal insulation when used in marine applications, but Locomotative cable has
    much heavier and more resistant insulation. My post only mostly dealt with
    the similarity of stranding between locomotive and welding cable and I did not
    clarify the difference in insulation. Sorry,
