Regatta Pointe in Palmetto on the Manatee River was mentioned as a
recommendation. I first went there in 1996 and have lived there between cruises ever
since then. A recent change in management has drastically changed the atmosphere.
Most liveaboards are leaving. As an 8 year, on and off, resident, I do not
recommend it. More information available off line.
