i have a jrc 1500 and a jrc 2000 in the pilot house, both work great. if i
buy another radar it will be a raymarine unit, the higher end commercial jrc
stuff is much better than the rec. units but expensive. in the dark, pitch
black, trying to get to port on radar, sonar and gps you need the best you
can get, target definition is very important when your trying to pick out a
line of channel markers. screen size is also important, in this case bigger
is way better. color helps seperate things. some have chart overlay features
that would be nice. when you really need a radar you need a really good one.
if you save some money and end up on the rocks thats false economy.
