    I faced this issue when world cruising--there are places where you cannot find
    the oils that you want.

    My conclusion is that there are different additatives in the oils which might
    make them slightly incomplatable--however, any high quality marine oil--such
    as Rotella or Delo will work fine as long as you use the proper weight. If
    you need to add oil now go ahead with what you will be using in the
    future--and go to Rotella on the next change. Rotella is available almost
    everywhere world wide and is an excellent product. Plus the advantage that
    most auto stores and discount markets carry the product.
