I am in Hampstead, NC (Harbour Village Marina) and keep my boat in the water
all winter without any 'antifreezing' protection. I, too, have a small
ceramic heater in the engine room to keep the engines 'warm' to make
periodic starting easier (don't have glow plugs or and engine block heater).
