    Dragging clutch plates are the cause of the intermittant and eventually
    freeing of the the motor, yet still dragging. The motor is heating up from
    the friction. A windlass should be taken apart every year and the clutch
    plates should be cleaned, the windlass should be lubed and reassembled.
