For the record, we use two separate navigation methods, (1) gps/p.c. rather
than a chart plotter (2) a separate gps for the paper charting function. The
radar lolly pop is tied into the g.p.s./paper function only.
I like this system because it I always have a back up WHEN something goes
out. I also can't get comfortable with the thought of having all my eggs in one
basket i.e. chart plotter/radar.
