    I stand corrected. I was obviously thinking of the usual configuration of
    displacement trawlers and sailboats where the shaft is usually internal to the
    hull and the shaft logs are relatively short. Long shafts external to the hull
    clearly require additonal support.
    Apologies to all dual cutlassers.
