Bill,
My experience has been that the boat will NOT naturally swing into the wind.
Most, at the least many, power boats like the GB will assume a position
abeam the wind while at anchor. While they will swing back and forth,
presenting one side then the other to the wind, the bow will be into the
wind only as it passes thru during each swing.
My point being that the breeze thru the forward hatch will be sporadic.
Before you write-off replacing your sliders with non-operating windows,check
these folks out.

Other than having used three of their windows as we replace some of ours in
stages, I have no connection with them at all.
