    That's true. toothed belts require less tension that V-belts. I'd love to
    do that, but was discouraged when I priced out the custom engine pulley
    that I'd need. It was more than I'd paid for the alternator. I'll be runing
    the alternator at no more than 150 A, anyway, since I've got just 400 AH of
    battery capacity.
