Can't speak to trawlers, but Dolores and I swapped our sailboat in 1989
for a month with a couple in Holland. They put an advertisement in
Latitude 38 (local sailing mag). The swap eventually included 6 boats,
three on either end and worked well.
There was a web site running in Ireland that facilitated such swaps.
I would do it again.
