The Rolls battery website has some excellent information on batteries and
their care. See at http://www.rollsbattery.com/ , go to Products, then
Marine (or whatever you wish), then Bulletins. Lots of very good info
there, including a discussion of equalizing and why it is needed.

    Good luck,

I think I may have asked this before, but can someone please provide a
short "idiot's guide" to battery equalization? What is it? Why do it?
What happens if you don't? (Nothing as far as I can tell; we've never
equalized our batteries as far as I know).
