I too enjoyed Bruce's drawings and how-to articles...I recall them in Cruising World. You are correct that Bruce and Katie Burke were both naval architects. They were also liveaboard cruisers and as such brought a great combination of talent and real world practical experience to the board. The mouse and cat were "trademarks" of Bruce. When my wife and I bought a Trinka sailing dingy, designed by Bruce, I was pleased to see the mouse as logo on the sail!
