Thank you for clarifying that you have no interest in Island Girl Products.

Sorry that you find the list "a bit stuffy". You will find some very
experienced boaters here. There is not a lot of levity as there may be on
some other lists. Many of us are exsailors on this list. I think that all
posts are of value as long as they are seriously about boating.

I have never used Island Girl products--but seen them advertised.
I forwarded your post (without the signature or name) to a friend who works
for West Marine and it will be interesting to see what his response is--and if
it is forwarded to their administration.

I also asked about the experience with Island Girl Products on another list
which has 14,000 readers. There were two other questions about this line of
products in the last year on this other list and it appears as if the product
line has not achieved great acceptance.

It would be interesting to compare Island Girl "Sea Glow Cleaner" (cost $17
for 16 oz) with the citrus hand cleaner (cost $6.50 for one gallon) on an
inflatable. Although it would be difficult to compare the protective effect,
it would also be interesting to compare "SilkenSeal" with 303
protectant--which does seem to have achieved wide acceptance. I guess )

I will have to admit I have been turned off by the use of girls in Bikini's
and the product names reminsent of tupperware--but that fits with being a
    little "stuffy" :-)

    Again I apologize.

    Regards

    Bob Austin
