I hope I have not violated any rules of this list.
My background:
I have owned sailboats and been sailing for the last 25 years. I have sold
my sailboat and now I am interested in trawlers.
I have been following this list for the last six months and value this list,
but it seems to be a bit stuffy. I wished I never responded to this post. It
was my second post to this list.
>He first touted Island Girl Products, then trashed West Marine and finally
>refered to the Island Girl Products as though he as an interest in the
>company.
My third post is a direct quote from the Island Girl's FAQ section web
site.
I have no financial interest in Island Girl. I have been a good customer
for 5 years. For the most part they have great products, and some not so
great. I am also a good West Marine customer. I spend a lot of money in
their stores. They are convenient and do have some good deals. However I
get frustrated with retail systems that penalizes small, and innovative
entrepreneurial companies. (This is just my opinion!)

I

No doubt this is true. My local store manager has been helpful also.
>If I am wrong and Mr Maher has no interest in Island Girl, I
appologize--but
>he should disclose his relationship, considering what he posted.
Again I am just a good Island Girl customer and I am sorry if anyone
misunderstood my post.
BoatUs use to sell selected Island Girl products, but now I can not find it
anymore.
