Happy New Year,
Perhaps a few list readers will remember a post from over a year ago about
the TV show Radical Sabbatical looking for someone who had made significant
lifestyle changes that included a trawler.
To make a long story short, my wife Carol and I volunteered and were
selected. That resulted in our spending two intense 10 hour days this past
summer in Ketchikan filming what will be a 15 minute segment. It was fun,
but a lot of work. The shooting involved aerial shots from a helicopter
while we were underway, as well as other "action" shots.
We understand our segment will be airing this Sunday, Jan 4 at 1:00 PM EST
(10:00 AM for our west coast
friends!) on the Fine Living Network. You will need to have cable, Direct
TV, or the like to watch it.
We hope the show will be a good introduction to our boating life!! However,
we haven't seen the finished product, so can't say if it is any good!!!
