Happy New Year, Listoids! I'm finally back on board the List. I am looking at
various options for next spring and am thinking of starting the Loop by going
backwards or UP the Tenn-Tom and back in the fall. Have been reading warnings
re not starting until May and appreciate the advice. I have another concern
though as I am about to buy some new communicating equippment offered by
Verison. I currently use ATT but it doesn't offer what I'm looking for, I
don't think. ATT has been OK on the ICW (east coast FL to MD) but blacks out
in a number of spots. Verison has always worked. I recall a posting last year
saying that Verison did NOT work well in the Tenn Mts but ATT did. Before I
make a change I'd like to learn from any who have experience with
communications on the Tenn-Tom.
