    Hi Peter,

Here is the applicable section of the "Welcome to Trawler World List"
    message.

    ******************************************************************
ACCESSING THE TRAWLER WORLD LIST ARCHIVES

Trawler World List has been around for quite a while and you'd be
amazed at the range of topics that have been discussed and the variety
of questions that have been answered: What's the best material for
    seat cushions?; How often should Lehman fuel pump oil be changed?;
What's the limiting depth on the Dismal Swamp route?; Is there a good
restaurant in LaPush, WA? It's all in the Trawler World List Archive
    which can be found at:
    http://lists.samurai.com/pipermail/trawler-world-list/

Finding something specific can be a daunting task since the archive
contains more than 50 thousand posts totaling over 100MB of
information. To make things a bit more manageable there are two
independently run search engines that index the archive. You can find
    them at:

http://abaco.pwr.com/twl/ - Pretty much self explanatory and easy to
    use.

http://www.irbs.com/ - Select Trawler World List in the box on the
right and type your search term into the box on the left.

NOTE (for the old hands) We used to recommend Google which is an
excellent general purpose search engine but, alas, it is no longer
completely compatible with our archiving format.
