    A final note on bottom types. Here on Chesapeake Bay you must be aware of the
    danger of shell beds where oyster shells have been dumped over a long period
    of time. My opinion is that NO anchor will hold in a shell bed. Tried for
    hours to kedge off of one once just east of Knapps Narrows. Only the tide saved my
    but. Understand there is one also near Oxford, south of FL R #2.
