    When it is off load, out of gear and revving, does the pressure go back up
    at all? If so could be the main bearings are worn. have you checked the
    oil is reaching the cam shaft ok? If so don't worry so much. What temp is
    oil coming out of the cooler? should be noticeably cooler than when it went
    in. Oil would have to be pretty hot to drop to 18 psi without some other
    problem. Is the oil the right grade, fresh and clean? Lastly it may be
    that this engine has an adjustable pressure relief valve, adjust it.
