to the number of people who have learned that all that pretty teak on
the exterior only stays pretty with tons of work.
Newer Grand Banks seem to have very little external teak other than the
handrails, caprail, and transom. I've noticed that the majority of new
or newer boats that appear in our marina these days tend to be faster
boats- Albins, Bayliners/Meridians, and whatnot. So I wonder if that's
a greater factor in people trading in Grand Banks than the wood.
Everyone's in a hurry these days, and people who can afford newer models
of this type of boat probably aren't too concerned about fuel
economy.....
