TWL: Too much zinc

    As was noted in some recent posts, too much zinc IS a concern on wood boats
    because the increase current flow will likely damage wood...but this is rarely
    a problem on fiberglass boats.
    If you are reasonably sure your zincs have been partially used (as is often
    the case after six months or more immresion) then hanging an additional zinc
    will probably only restore normal voltage protection.
    When using an additional zinc you must be sure it is connected either to the
    piece of metal you want to protect (if the underwater metal pieces are not
    bonded together with wire) or to the bonding system if so wired....
