    I, as well, buy the Wagoneer dutifully every year, but I am not as fond of
    it as you. I think they travel around each year less to "meet the locals"
    than to sell ads.

    I find a great correlation between their editorial comments about marinas
    and restaurants and the size of their advertisements. For instance, in
    Ganges they highly praise their advertiser, the Hastings House, although
    they never ate there. I found it to be wildly overpriced and overrated
    (frozen salmon for God's sake !!!). Our friends who live on the island
    never go there. They go to House Picolo (a fine restaurant), which is not
    even mentioned in the Wagoneer.
