For next summer we are considering a cruise along the east side of Hecate
Strait then across the strait to the east side of the Queen Charlotte
Islands. (For the benefit of non-NW boaters these wild islands lie off the
west coast of northern British Columbia). We have a 42 Krogen and have
already covered BC as far as Prince Rupert. What tips do fellow listees
have for these areas? I am especially interested in the best routes across
the Hecate Straits. I understand that the Douglases are working on book for
this area. I haven't seen it on the shelves yet. Does anyone know when the
publishing date is? Recommendations on other books/guides for this area
would also be appreciated.
