    Jim,

I have three battery banks on my Hatteras LRC: 12, 24 & 32.

32v (2 banks of 4x8v) for the engine and genset starting and lots of the
other systems. Upon replacement, I am moving the 32v to 24v.

24v (2 banks of 3x8v) for the inverter and to pickup the old 32v stuff as
    they fail.

12v (1x8D) for instruments and sat TV and various new replacements where 24v
    is unavailable or too expensive.

The old 32v Hatteri are great deals and you just learn to live with it.

    Bob
