    Sounds like we have an almost identical system including Battery Shack
    alternators. My results mirror yours.

    I use a laser thermometer to take periodic readings on 15 different
    points
    on both engines. My "Billies Battery shack" 100 amp alternators run
    between
    181 and 183 degrees (bulk stage) to charge an 880 ampere hour golf cart
    bank.
