Xantrex came out with a copy some years ago. See if they will back it with
an unconditional warranty. It is overpriced, not waterproof and less

If your alternator output is 100 amps or less you can use the Combiner 50
If the alternator is 200 amps or less you can use the Combiner 150
For alternators up to 500 amps the new Combiner 400 is the choice.

Good news! I did say it was a good concept.
As I indicated, my observations are based on experimenting with the Xantrex
model.
And yes they did have numerous contact failures. And all they do is give you
another one ( which might have the same failure)
I am inclined to accept Andina's claims because it bears out what I know about
contactors from my industrial background.
I would also accept the statement about "install and forget it".
As long as the hysteresis ( differential from pull in to drop out ) is good
enough that even AGM batteries at a hot float ( lowest voltage ) still keeps
the contactor closed, I see no problem with a single voltage trip setting.
The adjustable pots is just a nuisance and added complication.
IT also looks like Andina has solved the annoying cycling problem that I
found with the Xantrex version control board.
( BTW Andina, is this a detail you can share or it one of the secrets of your
success? )
Cheers
Arild
