That sounds like a great idea but the indoor/outdoor thermometers I've
used for other applications have a temperature range that stops
around 160F. Can you suggest a brand or model? The ones I have
sure work great in my fridge.
Also, can you give us a thorough comment about the West
Marine battery combiners, based on your experiences?

Buy one of the indoor /outdoor thermometers from an automotive stores for
about
$10

Don't let the case temp run much over 180 -190 F or around 90C
That may save some cooked wires.
