TWL: Preemptive Barrier Coat?

    Someone posted on TWL they would not have the premptive coat because of the
    removal of gelcoat....
    Well I thought that barrier coat could be put directly over good gelcoat
    where no blisters exist....on a ten year old boat this would definitely be
    worthwhile considering.

    I'd go for it without hesitation if the above is true and if I were planning
    on keeping the boat for a long time....If you are thinking of changing boats
    in 5 to 10 years, then pass on this added expense unless you trawler is known
    for blistering problems...then you have a nice resale point.
