Go to an industrial paint store, not a cutsy home improvement type and get
SPLASH ZONE it is a two part concoction that is industrial strength J B
Weld.
It is a putty and hardens to a steel like substance that is then treated
like steel as in grinding and sanding.
I have used it for yrs and keep some on brd as shelf life is forever!
It can be applied under water.
