Just a general comment about cell phones and using them for Internet access.
My 3 year old Motorola worked well for me all along the great loop. The
worst coverage was on the Tenn-Tom waterway. We had good coverage most places and
even most of Can. My service is with Verzion and you can get special roaming
for Can. Most of the connections came in at 19200. The cable from the phone
connected to the serial port on the laptop. I'm sure there are better ways
today with the newer phones but only have experience as stated. The connection
was good enough to update a website with that combination.
