Yeah, but if the sextant hadn't been used for years, its adjustments probably
would have been off, the mirrors might have needed resilvering, and he
wouldn't have the 20 lbs. of current tables necessary to navigate. In addition, the
sky would have been overcast and his chronometer might have stopped.
