Many of us have dehumidifiers in our homes. Commercially available
distilled water is probably more pure, but I use the output from my
dehumidifier in my batteries.
Contamination is in the form of household dust - unlikely to be
meaningful in terms of mineral content. If any believe this to be a bad
idea, I would be happy to hear about it.
