My DirecTV only worked as far as Port Mc Neil this summer. YMMV
I bought a larger dish in Ketchikan but never had time to get it
working. They use larger (1 meter) dishes up there.
DirecTV is available.
I use AT&T for cell coverage and like it. The local cell
company in Prince Rupert evidently did not have a working
agreement with AT&T so no coverage there for us but it
worked fine just past Vinn Passage. Be sure and make
arrangements with your cell phone co. BEFORE you leave,
for coverage in B.C. It'll save you a bundle in roaming charges!
