The problem with that point of view Van, is that it may take others out
with you. I have observed instances of multiple boat collisions with
serious risk to others, caused by older skippers who "froze" or "lost
it" at the wrong moment. I have been aboard when an older skipper
failed to keep a lookout and ran aground.
Even falling in the water as you describe risks the lives of would-be
rescuers and costs us all money for SAR and emergency services.
Something to consider anyway.
