    >I have a 65 32 Pacemaker Sedan Express, single plank mahogany over ash
frames, running twin 283 C.I. gas inboards. While she is not a trawler
as such, she does run at comparable speeds cruise is around 14 - 16
knots at 2,600 RPM - so I appreciate the obvious benefits of enjoying a
    relatively sedate cruise.

If 14 to 16 knots is a sedate cruise, then our boat's progress through
the water would better be described as an "ooze" rather than a
cruise..:-) But welcome to the list. While it is aimed at trawler
owners, it's been my observation over the last couple of years that many
of the discussions here are relevant to all types of boats and boating,
not just trawlers. Plus there seems to be a greater air of civility and
desire to help people on this list than I've observed on things like
boating newsgroups and the like. While I'm particularly guilty of
generating off-topic discussions, for the most part this list stays
    pretty focused.
